“Everything Jo teaches comes from her own felt experience in her body, with a constant emphasis on our shared humanity, our perfect imperfection. Her teaching is constantly evolving. Most of us are familiar with the phrase: “all you need is within you.” With Jo’s guidance, that is exactly what happens: you go on an inner journey, that starts with breath and inquiry, leading to an aliveness, deep understanding and eventual acceptance of your body, mind and spirit. You emerge with an empowering, calming sense of autonomy. I am eternally grateful to Jo for showing me the deeply powerful yet blissful nature of true practice. .” Tima
The essentials
I share what I feel has intrinsic value: practices that support, awaken and heal that, however varied they may appear, all stem from the same roots of a grounded somatic spirituality. I have come to experience my role more as a facilitator than a teacher and in that role support people in establishing a strong relationship with the inner voice of the body and further down the line hold space for further inquiry in an ever-expanding unique personal journey. I am passionate about the art of communicating the possibilities of practice and inquiry and am constantly seeking to clarify, simplify, refine and evolve the ways in which I share. I am forever curious. Nothing is static or linear; learning is constant.
Way of Soma is not a new methodology or school, it is a body of Somatic practices with a rich lineage of yoga and somatics.
It is an invitation to explore simple and profound practices that can bring you to the unique embodiment of you.
It seems that never in my lifetime has there been a more important time to go within, and through intelligent Somatic exploration gather our resources, connect to our innate spirituality and wholeness, love and be loved and participate unreservedly in living this one precious life we have on this sacred earth.
I look forward to sharing practice and holding space for you.

A creative expressing myself through the medium of photography and writing and working as a professional photographer alongside my somatic facilitation work.
